Dendrobium ceraula / gonzalesii
CH-22706 Dendrobium ceraula (Also know as Dendrobium gonzalesii) - Mounted on a cedar shingle. 1 to 2 years from blooming size. The plants offered here (the 2nd picture) are about 3-4 inches long. A mature, blooming sized plant (the 1st picture) can reach 10 inches or longer. These look very similar to the more famous Dendrobium victoria-reginae, but are much easier to grow. They are much hardier and forgiving. Also, temperature can greatly affect the flower color. Cooler temps will bring out more vivid blues, while warmer temps will bring more soft blues. Blooms at least a couple of times a year.
