Dracula Orchids or Monkey Face Orchids are a most unusual variety of Orchids. Famous due to many of flowers resembling the face of a monkey. I always tell people, half kidding, that they grow best in a 'Cave' or at least a 'Cave With a Window'. They like cool/damp conditions. 55-60 degree nights and 70-75 degree days, with good humidity. If one does not have these cooler conditions, Dracula Orchids will be a challenge to grow. Many of the species display best as a hanging plant growing in a basket, as many of the flowers grow downward through the potting material and poke out through the bottom of the basket. Dracula Orchids are just so Cool.
