Peristeria elata

CH-19740 Peristeria elata - 2 inch pot. These are just babies, so 3 to 4 years from blooming size. Blooms in the summer. Flowers are about 1.25 inches wide. Flowering, mature plants can reach up to 43 inches tall. Commonly known as the Dove Orchid, the Holy Ghost Orchid & the Flower of the Holy Spirit. Fairly easy to grow. More of a challenge to flower. They need to be very large to flower and don't always bloom every year. They are somewhat deciduous, so leaves will fall off in the fall and new growth will replace them in the spring. Fragrant!
